Beef and Broccoli

Beef and Broccoli

Serves 3-4

•1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce
•5 cloves garlic, minced
•2 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
•1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
•1 pinch red pepper flakes
•1/2 cup Beef broth
•1 tsp. Cornstarch
•1 tbsp olive oil
•1 lb filet mignon, cut into strips
•1 head broccoli, cut into florets
•Salt and Pepper, to taste

1.Heat a pot of salted water to a gentle simmer for blanching.

2.In a pot, Sautee the garlic, ginger & red pepper flakes for one minute. Add the balsamic, Teriyaki, beef broth and cornstarch. Bring to a boil and set aside.

3.Heat the olive oil in a large skillet on medium high and cook the steak until it starts to brown, about 3 minutes. Add sauce to pan and stir. Turn the heat down to medium.

4.While beef is cooking and sauce reducing, add broccoli into water and cook for 2-3 minutes, just until softened.

5.Remove from water and toss broccoli into sauce with meat, turn off heat, and stir to incorporate.
