Fried Deviled Eggs
6 hard boiled eggs, cooled and shelled
¼ cup plain flour
1 large egg, lightly beaten
½ cup fresh white breadcrumbs
Bertolli Classico Olive Oil, for deep-frying
2 tbsp chopped capers
4 tbsp lemon juice
Dashes of Tabasco sauce, to taste
1-2 tbsp mayonnaise
Salt and pepper
- Heat oil to 375 F in a pot. Take Egg whites and dust in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Fry each egg white until very crispy on the outside.
- Drain on paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Combine remaining ingredients with removed egg yolks in a bowl and place on top of the fried egg white.
