Dr. Angie is a good friend of mine – and with that friendship comes the benefits of the wealth of knowledge that this amazing woman possesses. I respect her as a friend and as a professional healer so much that I feel obligated to share the valuable knowledge that she shares with me with #TeamFabio and the rest of the world. I trust her with my life and my very own neck, and I am happy I am able to share her with you. Dr. Angie is a Doctor of Chiropractic, specializing in pregnant women and children (and world class travelers chefs with back, knees and neck problems I guess), she is a motivational speaker, and the founder of her own Wellness Center in Moorpark, CA which provides chiropractic care, massage, nutritional counseling, and yoga/fitness classes. Take it away Angie! – Fabio
One of my patients recently asked, “What is the deal with Kale? Why is it so good for you?” Good questions!
Growing up, Kale was the garnish restaurants used to dressed plates and then tossed into the garbage at the end of meal. If I knew then what I know now, I would have tossed the cheeseburger and eaten the kale!
Kale truly is one of those amazing super foods with numerous great benefits for your body.
The top 10 list of why you need to eat Kale!

9. It’s a cancer fighting food
8. An amino acid powerhouse representing all of the essential and 9 of the non-essential
7. High in protein with a 3:1 carb to protein ratio
6. Rich in Omega 3
5. Contains and impressive stock of essential vitamins including: A, B, C, D, E, Beta Carotene, K, and more!

See what I mean? It is a vegetable rock star! I stick a handful in my smoothies in the morning and blend it to a pulp! My husband loves it sautéed with anything. You can also tear off the leaves and mix them with your favorite spices. Lay them on a cookie sheet with a little olive oil and put them in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Try it with raw cacao powder as well. BOOM! Kale Chips.
There are endless possibilities to make this garden powerhouse into a household favorite. I know Fabio has some great tips and recipes and will teach you how to prepare it so it tastes good.
